One Day One Roll | October 2020
My family NEVER goes away during fall break, because, you know, I’m a photographer. Who has time to take days on end off during October? Yeah, it actually wasn’t easy, but all my sisters were meeting up in Colorado, and this time, I wanted in. One of our stops was Painted Mines Interpretive Park. Although I got to Moab plenty and have seen a colordey rock or two, this weird little rock formation in the middle of a giant flat prairie with all these color was just pretty cool. My big boys didn’t come on this excursion, but there were plenty cousins to hang with. My little sister brought a dress for her daughter just in case she wanted to do a photo shoot, so I went ahead and took some of that as well. It was super fun, so I finished off my roll of Ektar 100 35mm and started a roll of Portra 160 35mm. I also took some black and white on medium format, which isn’t back yet. I definitely liked the Ektar better! Though I do have to say, the sun went behind clouds by the time I was shooting the Portra, so it’s not really ALL Portra’s fault. :)
