One Day One Roll | April 2020 {Easter}
Easter day during isolation might have been a disappointment for some, but it turned out to be just exactly the right speed for our family. We had colored our eggs the day before, planned some meals with our favorite comfort foods, and were prepped for a day of low-key family time. The kids had fun finding their baskets in the morning and immediately gorging themselves on the chocolate, even though they knew the french toast casserole was coming right up! It was sunny but cold outside, but we still got the boys to hide the eggs for the girls to find and then stay out there to give them hints and take the “Kids in a Line” photo I take each Sunday. I didn’t take any shots of our little home church service and our family games (they were all electronic and in dark rooms!), but the super fun we had together made the day just so much fun and full of laughter. We ended with a delicious dinner, and a few obligatory shots on the hill. What a perfect day!
I used my Pentax 645N with the mod Zeiss lens and Portra 400 @200 +1. (The plus one was for contrast, I was obviously at the top shutter and way overexposing with that sun! Turns out it worked great anyway.) Also, I cheated and used two rolls since it was medium format. :)
